Dunans Castle in Glendaruel was ruined by fire in 2001, bought by Charles & Sadie Dixon-Spain two years later, and is now on the way to a full restoration. Charles will introduce both the project, its history and the plan that the couple are executing to fully recover the building, the A-listed bridge and the grounds. With excursions into woodland creation, communities of interest, renewable energy and wild picnickery, Charles will present the type of holistic vision which he is convinced will result in a fully habitable building by the time he retires!!
Bio
Raised on the Fens in a farming family, Charles holds a Masters in New Literatures in English, trained in print and web publishing, and now spends every moment he is not at a computer screen or running, working outside at Dunans, preparing for the next stage in the restoration project.
