John Maher – Nobody’s Home

29 July to 4 September 2022

Nobody’s Home by photographer John Maher captures abandoned houses across Lewis and Harris, and the exhibition is augmented with other imagery shot against a stunning Hebridean backdrop. A Window on Medieval Sculpture

16th October to 22nd November 2020

This exhibition brought together works of Medieval Sculpture generously loaned to the Burgh Hall by a private collector and presented to try to bring their original context to life. Figurative and decorative works from around Western Europe show the connecting inspirations and influences across time and distance, as well as the cultural power of the pre-Reformation Christian Church.
