Slanjayvah Danza – Free Music Workshop

FREE workshop for fiddle, guitar and percussion – a cross culture rhythmical exploration of Scottish and Spanish music.

Slanjayvah Danza are commonly known for crossing the borders of traditional and contemporary dance, music and storytelling. The company are touring their signature work, 6 Feet, 3 Shoes across Scotland and performing at the hall on Friday 9 September.

Join the company artists for an exciting workshop where you can learn and play some of the rhythms used in the show. Some of these are rhythms from Scotland and others are from Spain. Sometimes we even mix them up for extra fun.

In our music workshop, there are options to learn music specifically composed for the show for fiddle, guitar and percussion. This workshop will focus on the marriage of music and dance and how the two elements feed into and out of each other.

This workshop can be adapted to suit all levels and abilities.

Free, no need to book. Please bring your instruments and/or shoes to dance in.
