This is an old event

The Scottish Women’s Convention are excited to bring their roadshow event to Dunoon on Thursday 25th June, from 12:30PM to 2:00PM.
There is also an evening session on the same day if this suits better.
The Roadshow events are informal roundtable discussions where women can freely talk about the issues that matter most to them in their local community. While the SWC asks broad questions, the discussions are led by the women themselves.
After the event, a report is created and shared with attendees, as well as local and national politicians. The goal is to empower women to use this report to advocate for the changes they want to see in their communities. Information gathered from these discussions also contributes to Scottish and UK Parliament consultations, ensuring women’s voices are heard in decision-making processes.
Come join us for a cuppa and a blether! They’re eager to meet and connect with as many women from Dunoon as possible.
The Scottish Women’s Convention aim to create a welcoming and safe space for all attendees. They understand that some topics discussed may be sensitive, so these events are open to women only.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

The Scottish Women’s Convention (SWC) was set up by the Scottish Executive in 2003 in recognition of the need to ensure women’s voices reach policy makers.
They work to give women throughout Scotland the opportunity to be involved in activities and events. Their events include conferences on a range of topics, roadshows, roundtables and surveys. The information gathered at these events is then compiled and reported to key decision-makers at a national and international level, as well as women who can then use their materials to challenge unfair practice. By working with individuals and local organisations, they are able to meet with a diverse range of women, with different experiences, backgrounds and cultures.
