DBH Garden Gatherings: Juliana Marin – Travelling the World on a Story and a Song

Juliana Marin (aka Achira) is a nomadic traditional storyteller from Colombia who left everything to travel the world, scattering stories like seeds. Nearly 2 years and 26 countries later, she’s hitchhiked ambulances, slept in cemeteries, sat with shamans in the Amazon, lost all her stories and been found by them again—all this, to find you, and bring you a story.

In this special Garden Gathering you’ll get to hear traditional tales from Latin America and around the world, experience a bit of Colombian culture, and learn what it’s like to travel on very little money and how you can do it too.

The event is geared towards adults but all ages are welcome. Attendance is free! Donations are greatly appreciated and help Juliana travel further.

“Fairytales are more than true. Not because they tell you that dragon’s exist, but because they tell you that dragons can be beaten.”
