Cowal Open Studios - Guest Artists Exhibition

This exhibition features the work of four Scottish-based artists: 

Brenda Burkitt

Raine Clarke

Ronnie Fulton 

Lynn Howarth 

who work in a range of creative art forms - paint, pastel, textiles and clay.  


Brenda Burkitt is a textile artist living and working in South West Scotland. She exhibits both in Scotland and across the UK. She is a member of EdgeTextile Artists Scotland - a group dedicated to promoting excellence in contemporary textile art in Scotland.    

Raine Clarke is a contemporary Scottish artist living and working in West Lothian. She works in a wide range of mediums inspired by the natural world. Raine has exhibited throughout the U.K. and Europe and is regularly commissioned to create album artwork by Scottish musicians. She also works as an Art Specialist in a school for children with additional support needs.

Lynn Howarth is an award-winning Scottish artist who expresses her innovative and thoughtful interpretations across a range of themes, figurative, portrait and landscape. She specialises in the medium of pastel which gives a vibrancy and luminous quality to her art. Lynn has a passion for colour and design, and for life, as can be seen throughout her work.

Ronnie Fulton was born in Glasgow in 1958. He studied at Glasgow School of Art (BA Hons Ceramics 1980) then Notre Dame College of Education, Post Grad (Secondary Education) 1981. He has worked as a ceramics teacher and art teacher in a number of schools and colleges. Since 2002 he has been a self-employed potter in Portpatrick then North Berwick.        

This Cowal Open Studios - Guest Artist Exhibition - runs from 17th September to 17th October 2021, Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm
