Free workshop for Ages 10 - 14 years

Exposure/Documentary Photography workshop with Pieter Van Der Werf

Thursday 29th July, Friday 30th July and Saturday 31st July 2021 - 10.30am to 3.30pm.

This workshop, which runs over three days, is for ages 10 - 14 years and is FREE!

Create your own "fly on the wall" documentary during this three-day photography workshop. Experience how you look at things, see through other people's eyes and discover different ways of using your phone's camera.

Guided by visual artist Pieter van der Werf, you will get to know all about the camera obscura, perspective, viewpoints and focus. You'll take pictures of people going about their business, creating great shots around Dunoon. You'll edit your own pictures and tell your own story by posting the images in the online DBH Instagram exhibition space.

The workshop coincides with our forthcoming photography exhibition ‘Everything Flows’.

Please note that, as places are limited, you should be available to attend all three days of the workshop. Please bring your own refreshments!

Exposure/Documentary Photography workshops is funded by the Scottish Government’s Youth Arts Fund through Creative Scotland with support from Youth Music Initiative and Time to Shine. The Youth Arts Fund ensures creative opportunities for children and young people continue to exist across Scotland despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Participants will be required to complete a consent form - you can download this here:
