Nuno Felting is a technique that involves binding wool fibres with a woven structure – a process which involves heat and friction. The basic technique uses water, soap and hands – and the result is a new fabric that has undergone a structural change!
Clothing is a perfect use for Nuno felt as it is light and hangs well. It has the advantages of the coolness of a light fabric and the warmth of wool.
This one day workshop with Liz Gaffney from "Heartfelt By Liz" ;will teach you this fascinating technique and you'll create a body wrap or scarf.
The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those who may have done some felt making. All materials are supplied and there will be lots of samples to be inspired by.
