Description
John Nicholson interviews his friend and fellow author about his wide-ranging career as a writer of 12 books about politics, social history, travel and football, many of which have focussed on Scotland.
Very much a renaissance man, his recent work has included screenwriting, presenting social history on television for STV and History Hit, editing a Scottish football magazine – Nutmeg – and writing across a number of national titles. He also presents the When Saturday Comes football magazine podcast. Daniel’s brand new book is 'Food of the Cods: How Fish and Chips Made Britain', published by Harper North in October 2023.
This will be a wide ranging, humorous and insightful chat as John takes a deep dive into Dan's excellent body of work to find out what motivates and inspires one of Scotland's most poetic and thoughtful writers.
