In Northern Italy in 1983, 17-year old Elio meets his academic father’s assistant Oliver, with whom he bonds over his emerging sexuality, their Jewish heritage and the wonderful Italian landscape. This bittersweet love story has attracted enthusiastic responses from wide-ranging audiences, which shows you don’t have to be part of the gay community to become truly immersed in a gay love story. Great performances.
