Welcome to Make Do and Mend!
Learn the basics of using a sewing machine and how to make alterations to reuse clothing and fabric. Extend the life of an item of clothing by mending or reusing it.
Expert sewer, costume maker and sustainable style guru, Dani Halligan, will teach you tips and tricks for turning your clothing into fresh fashion pieces. With over 50 years of experience making clothing, costumes and reusable products, Dani loves to share her skills and encourage more people to reduce their carbon footprint.
Places are limited. Booking is essential.
Please note that these workshops are free, but your attendance is essential. Think carefully before you book and if you can’t make it please let us know, so we can reallocate your space.
Can’t make Sunday? There is also a workshop on Saturday 14th September – see the other listing on our website.
