The Dunoon Film Festival calendar is changing and we look forward to sharing exciting news about the 2025 programme soon! To mark our traditional DFF weekend in November, we invite you to join us for a day long celebration of local talent.

Local filmmaker Neil Boyle recently attended Filmapalooza in Lisbon, and the legendary Cannes film festival, following success in the 48 Hour Yes We Cannes Global Film Challenge 2023. Join us to see the short films that won him international recognition and learn first hand about the highs and lows of his unique creative journey. Featuring Learning Magic and Life’s a Beach, which were produced for the 48 Hour Film Challenge and an exclusive preview screening of his latest project, Teething, funded by GMAC and Screen Scotland.

Learning Magic: Katie a young girl fascinated about learning magic wants to learn from an tiktok
influencer/magician’s book named Robin Magnifico. However her family can’t afford the book and Katies family then need to find themselves by the power of magic and put on their own show full of tricks.
