DBH Community Kitchen
Published: 16 April 2020
Following the temporary closure of Dunoon Burgh Hall due to the current pandemic, you may be aware that we launched our “Community Kitchen” project.
This is a not-for-profit service that provides easy access to delicious, nutritious food 7 days a week. We initially worked in conjunction with the local Social Work Dept, Hubgrub and Dunoon Food Bank to identify vulnerable members of our community who would benefit from safe deliveries of 2 or 3 course cooked meals to be reheated in the home.
Leading on from a successful launch, we are now able to extend the scope of the service to include not only the vulnerable within our community, but also those who are self-isolating or shielding. We are aware that many people are concerned at not being able to visit or care for older relatives and friends as they may be used to doing, so we are also happy to take meal orders and payments from relatives or friends of those receiving deliveries.
We have strict C-19 control measures in place and offer a friendly, flexible service for as long as it is needed. It would be great if you were able to help us spread the word about this service, so that we can reach the people who need it!
If you require any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us by email at email@example.com or call the Community Kitchen team at the Burgh Hall on 01369 701776 between 10am and 3pm.
