Dunoon Burgh Hall Trust
This is a dynamic opportunity to lead an arts-led community venue, based in the transformed Dunoon Burgh Hall, a major community asset for Dunoon, the region and beyond.
 
The Dunoon Burgh Hall has been a landmark project on the west coast of Scotland which has rapidly grown over the last decade and more.  Since its full refurbishment and reopening in June 2017, the Hall has seen many thousands over its doorstep attending concerts, exhibitions, events, workshops and stopping into its welcoming café.  This unique arts and culture centre is rooted in the heart of the community and by ‘bringing the unexpected to Dunoon’, encourages new visitors and multi-generations to participate in its diverse programme, niche events and celebrations. As it inspires local talent and activity, it also continues to nurture increased opportunities for tourism, situated in the stunning Scottish countryside.
 
The Development Manager will have the ability to lead a team, initiate and energise projects, mobilise and establish working relationships locally and with the wider region and generate income as part of resilience planning for the Hall’s sustainability and future.  The Development Manager will lead in all business, strategic and development aspects to deliver the business plan for the Hall and to continue the development of the on-going, inspirational arts programme. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, strengthen relationships with funders and stakeholders, lead and manage the operating team, align with the Board on performance targets, as well as continuing to develop community and partnering relationships and to consider broader social issues. Knowledge/experience of visual and performing arts will be an asset.
