Nuno Felting is a technique that involves binding wool fibres with a woven structure – a process which involves heat and friction. The basic technique uses water, soap and hands – and the result is a new fabric that has undergone a structural change!
Clothing is a perfect use for Nuno felt as it is light and hangs well. It has the advantages of the coolness of a light fabric and the warmth of wool.
This one day workshop with Liz Gaffney from “Heartfelt By Liz” will teach you this fascinating technique and you’ll create a body wrap or scarf to take home. The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those who may have done some felt making. All materials are supplied, and there will be lots of samples to be inspired by – a great opportunity to learn a new skill as well as making a personalised accessory to add to your wardrobe!
The workshop runs from 10am to 4pm – bring a packed lunch, or take the opportunity to enjoy something tasty from our cafe!
