Film & Swing Music – performed by the Music Academy for Schools Wind & Swing bands

Cowal Music Club and The Music Academy Wind Band and Swing Band proudly present a concert of favourite film and swing music.

The concert begins with popular titles from some of the biggest blockbuster films and includes titles such as This Is Me (The Greatest Showman), Hedwig’s Theme (Harry Potter), Jai Ho (Slumdog Millionaire), Under The Sea (The Little Mermaid), City of Stars (La La Land) and many more.

After the interval, we head into the Swing Era with a selection of swing and big band favourites such as Fly Me To The Moon, Steppin’ Out With My Baby, Alexander’s Ragtime Band, Zoot Suit Riot and many more toe-tapping tunes!

There are many titles for the whole family to enjoy.

The two ensembles feature music students from Staffordshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire. They will perform at Dunoon Burgh Hall as part of their 2022 music tour.

Admission for this event is Free – however donations are requested
