Yippeeeee!! It’s the big bonanza in musical extravaganza!
Join us for a relaxed screening of Doris Day’s iconic musical!
Deadwood, Dakota Territory, is largely the abode of men, where Indian scout Calamity Jane is as hard-riding, boastful, and handy with a gun as the best of them. One of Jane’s boasts brings her to Chicago to recruit an actress for the Golden Garter stage. But the lady in question appears to be a more feminine rival for the favours of Jane’s male friends…including her friendly enemy Wild Bill Hickock.
This is a relaxed screening, so people are welcome to arrive late or leave early to suit themselves. Complimentary refreshments and cakes will be served from 2pm with the screening starting at 2.15pm. This relaxed screening is particularly suited to people with dementia and their carers, but everyone is welcome. There is no need to book.
Creative Blethers are all-inclusive creative experiences for the elderly, carers, and adults with disabilities or mental health concerns. Creative Blethers are free, but donations are very welcome.
Door to door, wheelchair-friendly transport is available to and from your home with our friends at Interloch Transport. Please email wellbeing@dunoonburghhall.org.uk to arrange transport.
Film duration 101 mins
